Happy 10th Birthday Memo Pug!

Memo is 10 years old today.  He still has moments when he acts like a puppy, like when he gets in the mood to play with Polly, and he runs around the furniture a crazy wild look.  These days he is pretty healthy.  He just got his teeth cleaned for the first time ever (sorry for being so delinquent, Memo!) and he is as good as new.  He is also on a new probiotic diet.  I feed him plain yogurt everyday, and it seems to be helping his allergies.

Memo's Napoleon Complex

Well, it is no surprise that Memo Pug has a teensy napoleon complex.  He is a small little snugs but he has the ego of an emperor.  Memo already knows that he rules over me and Daniel, so that leaves Polly.  So in his effort to conquer Polly, he always has to position himself in the superior position.  When they are snuggling together in one of their beds, Memo always has his chin propped up on Polly.  In this photo, Memo is just putting his chin on Polly's paw.  He's letting her get off easy.  My mom has a better photo of Memo, which is hee-larious.  Memo is practically laying right on top of Polly.  He looks so uncomfortable but is very self-satisfied that he has gotten the best of Polly.  I'll have to post it when I get a digital version of the photo.

Memo's business, snugpug.com, is expanding.  I put a new image of Memo's precious face on some more products.  I took the photo today, and played with some different editing features on iphoto.  Voila!  The handsomest pug in the world.

Yum, Yum!

This is Memo mid-lip-lick.  Sometimes Memo just starts licking his lips for no reason at all.  Sometimes he does it when he is really sleepy, like a pre-sleep ritual.   When he does it, we call it "sleepy smacks."  As in, "Look, Memo is doing the sleepy smacks!"

Cutest Pug in the World

This photo was taken exactly one year ago today.  This one of the days when Memo was given the Cutest Pug in the World title by me.  He gets crowned "Cutest Pug in the World" by me almost every day, so he has lots of crowns.  On this day, it was sunny and Memo wanted to bask in the sun, so I opened the doggie door and let him sit outside.  He hopped outside and leaned right against the door.  He patiently posed for a photo and then continued about his business.
